Additionally, shooting during a clear night with a full moon can result in stunning and detailed images. Experimenting with different settings and techniques can help you capture the moon's mesmerising essence in your photographs.

Therefore, it is essential to thoughtfully plan ahead and determine the specific times when the Moon will rise or set in your unique location. By being aware of these timings, you can fully embrace the beauty and wonder of witnessing these mesmerizing celestial events each and every month, creating cherished memories and unforgettable experiences under its luminous glow that will last a lifetime.

Thus, if you choose to opt for the Auto setting on your camera (which is generally not recommended for this specific type of photography due to its inherent limitations and potential drawbacks), the camera will likely keep the shutter open for far too long, potentially compromising not only your carefully composed photograph but also the hard work, skill, and unwavering dedication you have poured into capturing this beautiful and fleeting moment in time— a moment that truly deserves to be preserved perfectly for all to admire and appreciate forever.

Setting I have been focusing on mastering/learning includes Spot Metering for precise exposure control, Bracketing for capturing varied exposures, Manual Focus for greater precision over the focal point, avoiding Auto mode, and adjusting the focus setting to Infinity for capturing distant subjects with clarity. Some cameras offer the capability to adjust the focus beyond infinity, enabling photographers to experiment with different perspectives. However, it is essential to exercise caution when engaging in this practice, as overextending the focus may result in a less defined and blurred image, especially when capturing the mesmerising details of the moon. Utilise the Manual mode setting instead of the Auto mode for more precise control over your settings and capture the perfect shot every time.

ISO 200, Aperture F11 & Shutter Speed To 1/125:

With these carefully chosen camera settings of ISO 200, Aperture F11, and Shutter Speed set to 1/125, you can effectively capture crisp and clear images across a diverse array of lighting conditions. All the settings I utilise in my photography journey are the result of my own diligent research and dedicated self-teaching efforts. Despite not having attended any formal photography school, my struggles and challenges with capturing compelling photographs of people have beautifully paved the way for my growing passion—capturing the enchanting and mesmerising beauty of the moon.
